A cool December morning in Komarok begins with quiet anticipation. Birds chirp among the mango trees at Dorothea Girls Rescue Center, but another sound fills the air, the excited chatter of girls awaiting a special visit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For 15-year old Maria\u00a0(not her real name)<\/em>, this isn\u2019t just another day. Today, strangers become champions, over 60 employees from the Sales and Marketing Division of Isuzu EA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dressed in her Sunday best, Maria\u2019s eyes sparkle: “Wakati timu ya Isuzu inakuja hapa, ninahisi kama kuna watu wanatutambua, kweli wanatuona. Leo hawaleti tu zawadi, wanaleta upendo, motisha, na kicheko cha pamoja.” (\u201cWhen the Isuzu team comes here, I feel like someone sees us, really sees us. Today they bring more than gifts, they bring love, encouragement and shared laughter.\u201d)<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The morning begins with a church service, uniting girls, caregivers and employees in song and reflection, grounding the visit in dignity and shared humanity. Soon, the girls take centre stage, welcoming the team with poems, songs and interactive games in the open garden. Laughter, music and play forge connection, belonging and mutual respect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The girls then proudly lead a tour of the centre\u2019s livelihood projects: vegetable gardens, rabbits, pigs, dairy cattle and chickens, each a lesson in responsibility, resilience and sustainability. \u201cThese projects aren\u2019t just about food,\u201d <\/em>explains Center Executive Director Sr. Caroline Ngatia, \u201cthey teach these girls how to build a life and sustain their communities. We couldn\u2019t have grown like this without Isuzu\u2019s heart and hands.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The team brings back-to-school packages and sponsors school fees, showing personal commitment alongside corporate action. Isuzu EA Sales & Marketing Director Wanjohi Kangangi reflects, \u201cThese girls deserve opportunity. Our role is not just to give things, but to affirm they belong, that their education matters and that their future is full of possibilities.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
